Remembering Harry.
Harry Joseph Marsh Jr., age 80, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Hillsboro, Oregon, surrounded by the love of his family. Making it to 80 years was a milestone Harry was proud to reach, a testament to his resilience, strength, and unwavering spirit.
Born with a heart full of dedication, Harry lived by the motto "Strength and Honor," values that guided him through life and shaped the legacy he leaves behind. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he dedicated his life to serving his country with honor, integrity, and unwavering commitment. His time in the service instilled in him a deep sense of duty, which he carried into every aspect of his life, from his career to his family and community.
Beyond his military service, Harry was a devoted family man whose love knew no bounds. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather to 27 grandchildren, and great-grandfather to over 50 great-grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with his family, finding joy in their laughter, milestones, and shared traditions. His wisdom, kindness, and steadfast guidance left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
Harry had a remarkable ability to uplift those around him. Whether through his stories of service, his unwavering support, or his infectious laughter, he had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved. He led by example, teaching his family and friends the importance of perseverance, integrity, and living life with purpose.
Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched. His legacy of strength, love, and honor will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Rest in peace, Harry. You have completed your mission with distinction. Your service, your love, and your legacy will never be forgotten.
Viewing, Memorial and Burial Information
A celebration of Harry’s life will be held at Omega Funeral Home in Portland Oregon, on Saturday February 22nd, 2025.
The viewing with be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm
The memorial service will be from 2:15pm to 4:45pm.
The reception will be ongoing for the duration of 1pm to 5pm.
